Description
"Towards Peace" is an autobiographical collection of Megatron's political writings, published in at least three editions. It serves as a manifesto for the Decepticon movement. That movement started the Great War which ravaged the entire planet and spread out across the galaxy. Billions of lives lost over the four million year conflict that Megatron started. Though that was not his intention. It took an Autobot, Bumblebee, to help Megatron see the truth of it all, and helped him to let go of that anger and realize that it wasn't a revolution or an uprising.. It was an atrocity. It was madness and horror. The Decepticon movement he began had nearly destroyed the world he at one time hoped to free. The Cybertronians he wanted to help only see him as a tyrant and murderer. And for the first time in eons, Megatron felt shame for what he had let loose upon the galaxy. And when Bumblebee was murdered by Shockwave, Megatron did what no one ever would have expected. He took the Autobot badge from Bumblebee's corpse and placed it on his own chest, covering the Decepticon badge he had worn for so long and declared himself an Autobot.
Six months after declaring himself an Autobot and going through his trial that followed his defection, he found himself as the (co-)captain of the Lost Light. Here, Megatron decided to start a new autobiography, same title, new words and direction. This time, he wanted to do things right.

I spent a lot of time working on this picture. The "More Than Meets The Eye" comic book series has blown me away and inspired me a lot lately, with my YouTube videos and artwork. Reading through them and taking in the words and reason why Megatron became an Autobot and his hopes and dreams and quest to redeem himself. And to be able to forgive himself. It's some of the best writing I've read in a very long time.
